West Nile Virus

West Nile virus (WNV) is transmitted primarily by the bite of an infected mosquito. Infection may cause no symptoms at all, or mild to moderate fever and illness, or severe illness such as meningitis. WNV infection can be prevented by avoiding mosquito bites.
