Injury Prevention

Preventing injuries and death among people of all ages is a public health priority. Programs offered through the Health Promotion and Environmental Health divisions, as well as community coalitions are working to prevent injuries and promote a safer community in Spokane County.

Some injury prevention programs are coordinated by the Health District for the East Region Emergency Management System (EMS) and Trauma Council. These programs reach beyond Spokane County into eight rural Eastern Washington counties.
