Water Recreation - Documents

Program Fees and Regulations:

Inspections: The Spokane Regional Health District issues operating permits and inspects approximately 169 seasonal and 82 annual water recreation facilities in Spokane County. View a sample inspection form, the violation enforcement procedure summary and closure levels for disinfection and pH levels.

Construction, Remodeling, Renovation : All public and semi-public water recreation facilities in Spokane County must submit plans and specifications to the Health District for approval before any remodeling or changes in equipment. Get plan review instructions and download checklists required to be submitted with plans.

Need rules/signs? Download a copy of rules that must be posted at all water recreation facilities. The lettering on signs must be at least 3/8 inches high and posted in a conspicuous area.

Contaminations/Injuries: Learn what to do in case of contamination (“Poop in the Pool”) and download required forms for any injury that occurs at a water recreation facility.

Chemical Testing: Download information for proper testing techniques, required levels of sanitizers and pH, and daily testing log sheets. View a video featuring testing methods and types of testing to be done.
