Eagle Kids Day - Give Kids a Smile

Eagle Kids Day
February 12 at Eastern Washington University's Dental Hygiene Clinic

Appointments will be made for those children who qualify. To qualify, the child must be income eligible, reside in Washington and be between the ages of 5 and 19. Children who currently have Medicaid coverage or other dental insurance are not eligible. Appointments will cost $10 for each child receiving services. For further information, please call 509-368-6539 beginning February 5, at 6 am!

It is anticipated that 150 children will receive services including exams, x-rays, dental cleanings and preventive dental sealants. Some of the children will be "adopted" by local dentists from the Spokane District Dental Society who will provide additional treatment.

Community Minded Enterprises will be available to enroll eligible children into the State's Apple Care for Kids program which covers medical and dental. Spokane Regional Health District's ABCD Program will also be in attendance.

Q-6 will be providing a "Kids Dental Questions" Help Line on February 4. On February 5, KHQ will be doing a chat room from 6 am to 7 am about Eagle Kids Day so if you have further questions please tune in and chat to the dental hygiene student about the event.
