Volunteer

The Spokane Regional Health District welcomes community involvement in public health issues, advocacy and activities. Youth and adults are encouraged to get involved in one or more of these volunteer opportunities:

Public Health Emergency Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to support public health efforts during emergencies such as an outbreak of infectious disease or other community health threat. A wide range of skills is needed to perform tasks such as: greeting the public, data entry, providing health information and administering vaccinations. Volunteers must be 18 or older. A variety of certifications may be required for those volunteers performing medical tasks. Training will be provided for all positions. Call (509) 324-1669 for more information.

Community Coalitions & Peer Education Groups
A variety of coalitions are led by the Spokane Regional Health District and encourage public involvement, including:

Internships
Students interested in fulfilling practicum hours or other requirements to complete a higher education program are encouraged to apply.
