Growing Up Healthy
The Growing Up Healthy Project (pdf) explored a variety of health and health care issues faced by children growing up in Spokane and throughout Eastern Washington, through in-depth news coverage and community involvement.

Launched in January 2003, the 12-month project was a grant-funded partnership between the Spokane Regional Health District's Public Information Office, Spokane Public Radio and the Pacific Northwest Inlander. Nutrition, poverty, chronic disease, mental health, sexual health and injury prevention were among the issues explored during the year-long project.

An online archive of all radio features and print articles is available on the Growing Up Healthy website. Free audio CDs are available by calling (509) 328-5729.
