HIV / AIDS

Individuals engaging in high-risk behaviors for contracting HIV are an important focus of the Spokane Regional Health District’s HIV/AIDS program. The program offers HIV education, outreach, testing, case management and referral services, partner notification, and training for health providers. Call (509) 324-1542.

All new cases of HIV/AIDS in Spokane County are reported as a notifiable condition to the HIV/AIDS office. Reporting instructions are listed under Infectious Disease. Call (509) 324-1544.

Regional AIDS Program
The Spokane Regional Health District serves as the regional link to federal and state AIDS funding for 12 counties in Eastern Washington. Often referred to as AIDSNET, the Regional AIDS Program allocates funding for HIV/AIDS prevention and care to local public health agencies and a variety of community- based organizations. The program also oversees regional implementation of the Washington State AIDS Omnibus Law (1988). Call 509-324-1551.
